The 1st Annual Friends R Family 5k/Family Walk is designed to bring greater awareness to mental health in our community and honor Danyelle Filiaggi. Mental Illness affects 1 in 5 people directly and critical information is needed to help everyone navigate a crisis, seek treatment and recover. Our goal with the Friends R Family Foundation is to bring more attention to this health concern and change the stigma often associated with mental illness.

Entry Fees:
5k: $25 until February 13, $30 until March 27, $35 at packet pickup
Family Walk: $20 until February 13, $25 until March 28 including packet pickup
Please Note: March 26th is the last day for race registration! There is NO REGISTRATION AT PACKET PICKUP OR ON RACE DAY, but donations will continue to be accepted in person.

Course Information:
5K
The 5K course begins at the Bel Air Athletic Club and heads on to the Ma & Pa Trail towards Williams Street via the Best Buy Spur. Runners will turn around at the halfway point and return to Bel Air Athletic Club for the finish.
The courses are entirely on paved and crushed gravel surfaces. For safety reasons, pets, roller skates, and other wheeled devices (with the exception of wheelchairs) are not allowed on the course. Jogging strollers are permitted, but we ask that you start in the back of the pack so that your stroller does not create a tripping hazard.

Top 3 overall males and females, as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group as follows:
9 and under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, & 60+
Amenities:
Race shirts are guaranteed to all 5k and walk participants registered by March 16th (availability and sizes can not be guaranteed for those registering after the 15th). Chip timing, water on the 5k course, and course marshals will direct racers at all turns. Restrooms are available inside the Bel Air Athletic Club, and plenty of parking is available at the club as well.
Packet Pick Up:
Packets will be available for pick up prior to race day at the Bel Air Athletic Club on March 28th from 9 AM to 2 PM, as well as on race day beginning at 7:45 AM in the club. As mentioned above, REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT PACKET PICKUP OR ON RACE DAY.
