Hammer Man Triathlon
Sprint Distance Triathlon
1.5 mile run, 13.5 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
Posted on September 28th at 6:00 pm – Notice: Despite the fact that water quality was improving last week, results of a water quality test received today revealed that bacteria levels at the Hammerman Beach area have spiked and are now at 4x the normal, safe level. In light of this information we have decided to convert the triathlon to a run-bike-run duathlon. The opening run will consist of a 1.5 mile flat, paved run fully contained in the park. The rest of the race will remain unchanged. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; however we are taking the necessary precautions to ensure participant health & safety. An e-mail with race information and instructions will be going out to all participants this evening.

The bike route will incorporate the scenic Chase area outside of the park – the course is basically flat with a couple of short rolling climbs. There will be police presence on the course at major intersections, but all traffic signs must be obeyed! Almost all turns are right handed. The only left hand turns are at or near the dead ends of the proceeding streets.
*There should be limited traffic interference; however the course is not closed to traffic and extra caution must be taken while riding the course!
2nd Run Course – Map
The race finishes with a scenic 5k run inside the park on varying terrain including grass fields, asphalt roads, and a couple of short wooded trails.
