Celebrate summer in Baltimore City with the Coppermine Fieldhouse Salute To Summer 5k Walk & Run Festival! Join us for a fun 5k run and walk in the morning, and stick around for the festival at Coppermine DuBurns Arena. With activities for the whole family, it’s a great way to spend a summer day! A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Catch A Lift Fund and the Kennedy Krieger Institute.

After May 5th: Adults (16 & Over) $30 – Children (15 & Under) $15
Want to join us for the post-race festival and skip the 5k? Admission is $10 for adults, and $5 for children. Festival activities include:
- Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the New Bonvegna Turf Field by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake
- Live Band, Food & Beer Trucks
- Carrie Murray Nature Center Exhibit
- Bounce House, Child’s Hamster and Turtle Races & Face Painting
- Human Hamster Races & Celebrity Kick Ball Game

5k registration includes admission to the post-race festival!

Online registration closes Thursday, June 4th at 11:59 PM, but you can still register at Saturday’s packet pickup or on race day. Shirts are NOT guaranteed to registrants after May 29.
Course Information:
5K
The 5K course begins next to Coppermine DuBurns Arena and travels through Canton up to Patterson Park, where runners and walkers will do a short lap and then return to the arena for the finish.
For safety reasons, roller skates, and other wheeled devices (with the exception of wheelchairs and jogging strollers) are not allowed on the course. Jogging strollers are permitted, but we ask that you start in the back of the pack so that your stroller does not create a tripping hazard. Pets are also welcome, but must be kept on a short, non-retractable leash. Those with pets should also line up at the back for the start so that leashes do not create safety hazards.

Amenities:
Performance tech t-shirts are guaranteed to all 5k and walk participants registered by May 29th (availability and sizes can not be guaranteed for those registering after the 29th). Water will be available on the 5k course, police will monitor roads, and course marshals will direct racers at major turns. Restrooms are available inside Coppermine DuBurns Arena. Don’t forget about the post-race festival!
Packet Pick Up:
Packets will be available for pick up on Saturday, June 6th at Coppermine DuBurns Arena from 9 AM to 4 PM. Packets will also be available on race day beginning at 7:30 AM at the arena.
