Join us for the inaugural Steps in a Safe & Healthy Direction 5k and 1-Mile Walk, brought to you by Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and the Johns Hopkins Center for Behavior and Health. This fun-filled, family-friendly morning includes exercise, music, entertainment, activities for children and a health fair. Results
Entry Fees:
5k: $18 until August 1, $25 until August 31, $30 until September 18, $35 at packet pickup and on race day
Walk: $10 until August 31, $15 until September 18, $15 at packet pickup and on race day
Kids 10 & Under are free (no shirt provided)!
As an incentive to register early, the first 150 to sign up using the code “JHDISCOUNT” will receive 50% off of the registration fee!
Course:
The race will begin on the campus of Johns Hopkins Bayview and will head out for an out-and-back stretch on Lombard Street before returning for a loop on campus to the finish line. Traffic will be controlled on campus and on major streets by Baltimore City Police.
Awards:
- Top overall male and female runner
- Top male and female runners in each of the following age groups: 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+
Amenities:
T-shirts will be given to all registered participants (sizes not guaranteed after September 1, availability not guaranteed to race-day registrants). There will be a water station on the course, and water & sports drink at the finish line. Course marshals will direct racers at all major turns.
Packet Pickup:
Packets will be available for pickup on Friday, September 19th from 9AM – 5PM in the Spiritual Care Conference Room (Alpha Commons Building, 2nd Floor) on the Johns Hopkins Bayview Campus. Packets are also available on race day starting at 7:45 AM.
