Time: 5k @ 8:00 AM, Walk begins immediately after 5k starts

On April 2, 2016, Trinity Lutheran Church will be hosting a Family 5K Run/Walk to benefit our women’s international mission trip. Our Upcoming mission trip is scheduled for August 6 – 13, 2016 to Cidra, Puerto Rico. The proceeds from this Family 5K Run/Walk will benefit this upcoming trip. The trip lasts a week and approximately 10 women are participating. More information on Trinity Lutheran Church can be found on their website, www.trinityjoppa.org.

Virtual Runner
Want to support Trinity Lutheran Church Missions, but don’t feel like lacing up the running shoes? Sign up as a virtual runner for $20 and you’ll receive a race T-shirt that can be picked up after the race.

The event will be held rain or shine, and entry fees are non-refundable.

Course Information

Runners begin inside Mariner Point Park and will loop around the park before heading out into the surrounding community and finishing back in the park. Please note that roads outside of the park WILL NOT be closed to traffic, and participants must stay as close to the shoulder as possible. Strollers are welcome, but must begin at the back of the pack for the safety of other participants. Skateboards, roller skates, and other wheeled devices are not allowed on the course for the 5k.

Awards:

Top 3 overall 5k finishers (male and female) will receive awards, as well as the top male and female finishers in the following age groups:

6 and under, 7-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+

Amenities:

Short-sleeve T-shirts to all registrants who register by March 5th (sizes and availability not guaranteed to those registering after the 5th). Water will be available at the halfway point of the 5k course, and course marshals will direct racers at major turns.

Packet Pick Up:

Packets will be available for pick up on Friday, April 1st at Trinity Lutheran Church from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Packets will also be available for pickup on Saturday (race day) beginning at 7AM.
