5k Run and 2k Walk

Time: Race & Walk begin at 9:30 AM
Now in its ninth year, this is Abilities Network’s signature annual event created to stimulate awareness and raise funds. This year we are excited to be adding the 5K component to this event, which in the past was called “Walkabout Abilities”.
Your participation or donation will support Abilities Network’s mission to challenge the community to acknowledge the value and equality of people of all abilities throughout all phases of life. Abilities Network provides individualized services to more than 10,000 people living with physical, cognitive, or situational limitations.

5K Timed Race
$20 for preregistered students, $25 on race day
$30 for the preregistered general public, $35 on race day
2k Fun Walk
FREE for kids 3 & under
$10 for kids ages 4-12
$20 for teens and adults
Please Note: The event will be held rain or shine, and registration fees are non-refundable.

The 5k course begins and ends in front of the Kraushaar Auditorium, and is comprised of two laps of the Goucher Campus loop. One lap of the campus loop will be utilized for the 2k fun walk.
Awards:
5K
- Top 3 overall male and female runners
- Top 3 males and females in each age group: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+
Awards will also be given to the top 3 fundraising teams, and the 3 largest teams!
Amenities:
T-shirts will be guaranteed to all participants who register by September 4 (sizes and availability not guaranteed to those registering after September 4). A special performance by funk, blues, jazz artist Damon Foreman who has performed with major acts such as Ashford and Simpson, Gladys Night, Sista Monica, Mary Wells and ParliamentFunkadelic. Refreshments that include ice cream sundaes donated by The Coleman Family; A moonbounce, airbrush face painting by Amy Malfa, and traditional face painting and arts & crafts by the National Art Education Association at Towson University. Water is available on the course, and course marshals will guide runners at turns.
Packet Pick Up:
Packets will be available for pick up on Saturday, September 19 from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Abilities Network offices. Packets will also be available on Sunday, September 20 beginning at 8:30 AM.
